Apple will radically change its iPhone launch strategy

In 2020, four smartphones with OLED screens are waiting for us at once.
Apple has decided to make dramatic changes in relation to its strategy for the release of smartphones. This was told by analyst Samik Chatterjee from JPMorgan.

According to the source, from 2021 Apple will change its tradition of introducing the new iPhone line once a year. Instead, we are waiting for two new items in the first half of the year and two in the second.

This will allow Apple to better compete with rivals in the market that release new smartphones year-round, as well as smooth out potential errors, since it will be possible to change the design more often.

As for 2020, here Chatterjee predicts surprises. If other analysts foreshadowed only three models next fall, then according to Chatterjee, in September four iPhone are waiting for us at once. And all of them will get OLED panels and support for fifth-generation 5G cellular networks.

The two younger models of the iPhone 12 are expected to be diagonal of 5.4 and 6.1 inches and with dual cameras. The two older models iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will receive screens with a diagonal of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, as well as triple cameras with support for 3D-scanning of the environment and advanced features with augmented reality. As for 5G support, the older ones will receive support for the mmWave frequencies, while the younger ones will be limited to the frequency range below 6 GHz.
