Analyst Counterpoint has released smartphone sales data for 2019, which shows that Apple has released 6 of the top 10 best-selling smartphone models in the world.
In the next ranking, the iPhone XR is again in the lead, with iPhone 11 in second place. The top ten also includes the Samsung Galaxy A50, Samsung Galaxy A10, OPPO A5, iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy A20, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 7 and iPhone XS Max.
Despite the fact that Apple dominated this ranking, its global shipments decreased compared to 2018. If we evaluate individual countries, the iPhone dominates the US market, while Samsung products were not able to enter the top five. And in China, the leading products are Huawei, Oppo and Vivo.
The report shows that in 2019 Samsung shipments reached 296.5 million units, and the market share was 20%. Huawei has sold 238.5 million smartphones, and its market share has grown to 16%.
