The largest US marketplace – Amazon – an excellent indicator of user sentiment. And judging by it, in the processor category, the local consumer votes for AMD products.
The top 10 most popular processors on Amazon included eight AMD CPUs and only two Intel models. Interestingly, the first two places are the models of the previous generation: Ryzen 7 2700X and Ryzen 5 2600, respectively. New items are in third and fourth places: the 6-core Ryzen 5 3600 and the 8-core Ryzen 7 3700X. And then the very same Intel CPUs follow – the Core i9-9900K and Core i5-9600K. The Top 10 is closed by the Ryzen 7 2700, Ryzen 7 3800X, Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 3600X.
This result is yet another proof of how much AMD technology is in demand among consumers now, unlike Intel. And although the “blue” is all right with the financial statements, they can’t keep their market share. And this situation is unlikely to change until the company switches to a 7-nanometer process technology.
