AMD processors will become the basis of a supercomputer for the development of nuclear weapons

Last month we wrote about the Archer2 supercomputer, which will be created on the basis of AMD Epyc processors. The system will have a capacity of 28 PFLOPS and will become the most productive in Europe.

Now the source says that in the UK there will be another supercomputer based on AMD Epyc processors. The same company Cray will create the system, but the performance will be significantly lower – 7 PFLOPS.

Customer – state-owned company Atomic Weapons Establishment. The name of the system is Vulcan. And the bottom line is that a supercomputer will be used to create nuclear weapons.

It is known that the 32-core Epyc 7542 processors will be the basis of the supercomputer
