As you know, the third-generation Ryzen Threadripper processors will debut in November – AMD itself told about it earlier.
Now we have the exact date. More precisely, the date planned by AMD, which was relevant a couple of weeks ago, but hardly anything has changed.
So, according to these data, the news will be presented on November 5, but the ban on publishing reviews will be lifted only on November 19. And on November 19, processors go on sale.
However, there are nuances. The source says only about three CPUs: Threadripper 3960X, Threadripper 3970X and Threadripper 3990X. At the same time, the latter will appear only in January, and not all of its parameters can reveal on November 5.
We know that the Threadripper 3960X is a 24-core CPU. Earlier, it was assumed that the Threadripper 3970X will receive 32 cores, 3980X – 48 cores, and 3990X – 64 cores. Now, the Threadripper 3980X is “lost” and it’s hard to imagine anything. AMD may, for example, not release a 64-core CPU, or it may just skip the 48-core one. In any case, we will find out on November 5th.
As for the TRX40 chipset, it will be presented together with processors.
