Amazon doubles warehouse workers for overtime work

Limitations to slow the spread of coronavirus have led to an increase in online trading. Amazon’s largest online store today announced higher pay for overtime hours for employees working in warehouses in the United States. This measure is designed to facilitate the timely execution of the rapidly increasing number of orders from consumers who are stuck at home due to coronavirus.

From March 15 to May 9, hourly warehouse workers will receive double pay for overtime work. Previously, work in excess of 40 hours a week was paid in one and a half times.

This is the second time in a week that the e-commerce giant has announced better pay for its employees. On Monday, the hourly rate was increased from $ 15 to $ 17.
