Xiaomi continues to reveal the TV features of its new Mi TV 5 lineup, debuting on November 5th. This time, the manufacturer talked about the TV hardware platform.
TVs will receive as much memory as a typical modern low-cost smartphone: 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory. The single-chip system is also quite modern – this is the Amlogic T972, which is also used in the Mi TV Pro TV line. SoC provides hardware decoding of 8K video, however, the resolution of the matrices Mi TV 5 will be lower – 4K.
We also already know that Mi TV 5 will provide enhanced color gamut and support for MEMC technology.
